About the business I am selling:

My business is a private members cash and carry warehouse with internet shopping site. We stock hundreds of discounted items such as toys, stationery, household, tools, gardening and electrical items with some packaged foods and sweets.

Our method of operation is as a private members club. Customers join on site to gain access to the store and special offers. The business operates from freehold premises of circa 5.5k square feet as a trading area with additional offices and meeting rooms upstairs. Additional container storage is included in the business sale.

We have Circa 15,000 ‘members’ using the cash and carry to purchase a broad range of general goods.

The company also operates and e-store which should be a good source of revenue but needs updating and marketing.

The Financial details:
The warehouse turns over approx £500k and I make an adjusted profit of £90k.

Included in the sale of my business:
The business is largely managed by a long term employee and 2 full time and 2 part time staff. Wages total £41k. The business operates from 9-5 every day of the week. The following is included in the sale to ensure handover of a complete trading entity:

• Buildings preferred as leasehold with option to buy / may agree to sell: Value c£400k; Rental c£25k p.a.
• Stock at cost – c£200k (to be valued and adjusted at sale date)
• Fixtures fittings and equipment c£100k
• Machinery and Equipment (Tills, EFPOS, Forklift, security systems etc)
• IPR / domains re. internet trading
